HP Printer Setup Instructions for Smartphones

What if you can send print commands from your handheld device, meaning your smartphone. It would be easy, convenient, and quick to get the printouts. Whether you have Android, iOS, Windows, or any other operating system, you can get prints from any smartphone.

  1. Get your HP printer out of the box and keep it in a neat and tidy place.
  2. Now take out the packaging material from your printer and make sure to not leave any traces of adhesives or other such stuff.
  3. Disconnect the USB cable from your printer and computer, connect it only when you will be prompted to.
  4. Connect the power cable to your printer and the other end to the wall socket.
  5. Press the power button on the printer to turn it on.
  6. Unwrap the ink cartridges, remove the safety tape and install them inside the printer in their respective slots.
  7. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button.
  8. Press the Settings button and go to Wireless Setup Wizard.
  9. Select the network name, enter the password and click Ok.
  10. In case you don’t find the network name on the list, scroll down to the bottom and enter it manually.
  11. Make sure that you are connecting your printer and smartphone to the same wireless network.
  12. Once setup completes, your HP printer will deliver a test page.

Add HP Printer on Smartphones

Once you are done with the initial HP printer setup, now is the time to add an HP printer to your smartphone. Here are the instructions that describe the process quite simplistically.

  1. Ensure you have set up the printer hardware correctly.
  2. Make sure that your printer and smartphone connect to the same internet network.
  3. Now download the HP ePrint app on your android or iOS device. You can get it from the App Store, Play Store, or directly from the 123.hp.com/setup website.
  4. Now choose the Usage data preferences and click Done to confirm the settings.
  5. You will see the Home screen on your front of you, click Grant permission to add an email account.
  6. Keep following the on-screen instructions to access the files you want to print.
  7. Now open the HP ePrint app to start printing a document.
  8. Select files.
  9. Open the file folder and choose the document you want to print.

Exactly the same way you can print your photos, emails, or any other document.
